The Power of the Force
Chapter Six
The glory of God is that which comes out of the light of God. The glory of God is greater than the anointing of God. The anointing is what God does but the glory of God comes forth when the life of God becomes so in tune with your life that the vibration of His life becomes resonant with your life and the result is that the essence, the power, the majesty, and the love of God pours forth from every cell in your body.
There literally becomes a change in your body. When the glory of God becomes resonant with your life there will be no room for depression, no room for doubt, and no room for death to dwell in.
An example of this was Peter. In Acts 5:12-16,
“The apostles
performed many miraculous signs and wonders among the people. And all the believers used
to meet together in Solomon’s Colonnade.
13No one else dared join them, even
though they were highly regarded
by the people. 14Nevertheless, more
and more men and women believed in the Lord and
were added to their number. 15As a result, people brought the sick
into the streets and laid them on beds
and mats so that at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he
bringing their sick and those
tormented by evil spirits, and all of them were healed.”
In Matt. 5:14-16,
“You are the light
of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it
on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16In the same way,
let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise
your Father in heaven.”
The word translated ‘light’ is the Greek word ‘phoôs-foce and means
(to shine or make manifest, especially by rays.)
There is no greater force than light. When God spoke in Gen. Chapter one the light went out of His mouth and created all things. When we get our thoughts aligned with the thoughts of the Lord there will be a radiance of light go forth out of our mouths that will attract all men unto that light source which is Christ.
Through out the Old Testament God was looking for a place to dwell. He said in Isaiah 66:1-2,
“Heaven is my throne,
and the earth is my footstool.
Where is the house you will build for me?
Where will my resting place be?
Has not my hand made all these things,
and so they came into being?”
declares the LORD.
“but to this man will I look:
he who is humble and contrite in spirit,
and trembles at my word.
The Aramaic translates this as, “To whom shall I look and to whom shall I dwell?”
So He was seen at the top of a mountain, in a bush, inside of a box, the ark, and was carried from tent to tent. But He had not found a place to rest. David desired to build God a house and God told David through the prophet Nathan,
“I’m going to build him a house.” Not, “I am going to build him a house!” But, “I am going to build him as a house for me to dwell in!”
Jesus said in John 14:1-3,
“1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”
Let us reconsider verses 2 and 3:
'In
my Father's house are many dwellings; if it were not so, I would have told you.
I am going there to prepare a
place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and
take you to be with me that you
also may be where I am'
The body of Jesus was going to leave His
disciples, but He and his Father were going to come again and make their
dwelling in them. The dwellings, or as the King James version says, mansions,
that Jesus was talking about are not mansions in heaven. They are dwelling
places in his people. We are those dwellings! Jesus said in Lk. 17:21,
“Neither
shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is
within you.”
If the Kingdom of God is within you, then where is
the House of God? Jesus said, “In my Father’s house are many mansions!” The place
where Jesus went to prepare for us was the Body of Christ which we were
baptized into by the Holy Spirit. 1 Cor. 12:13,
“For
by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to
drink into one Spirit.”
This Body of Christ is full of the light of God.
Paul said in Col. 1:10-12,
“And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy
of the Lord and may please him in every
way: bearing fruit in every good
work, growing in the knowledge of God, 11being
strengthened with all power according
to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully 12giving thanks
to the Father, who has qualified you to
share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom
of light. “
Jesus said, 'Where I am
there you will be also'. He did not say where I will be. For three years
Jesus and his disciples were physically in the same place. Spiritually, however,
they were at different levels of understanding. He was above and they were
below. From the moment they met him they knew that He was in a higher place
than they were but Jesus said, 'Where I am there you
will be also'! What a wonderful
promise this is when we see its true meaning. How much better it is that we can
live in that glorious spiritual reality now and not have to wait for some
future physical mansion in the sky!
The many mansions of our Father's house are not
luxurious dwellings for us to live in hereafter. They are the human dwellings
of Christians where our Father has chosen to dwell here and now. Jesus said in
Matt. 5:16,
“Let your light so
shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father
which is in heaven.”
This word ‘let’ means to allow. Release the light
that is within you to come forth in the way that you live and the words that
come out of your mouth and the world will know that you have been with Jesus.
There are dim lights and bright lights in the Kingdom of God
but when we come together in love there is one brilliant light that the world
cannot resist but will be drawn to.
